Hotel Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to stays at Hotel Marselis. Hotel Marselis is operated by Aktieselskabet II of 8.12.2025 (CVR 46119355), hereinafter referred to as “Hotel Marselis” or “the Hotel”.These terms and conditions do not apply to bookings of 10 rooms or more, as this is considered a group booking. 1. Reservation

Reservations must be made in the name of the person in charge of check-in upon arrival at the hotel. Failure to comply with this may result in refusal of check-in, cf. section 5 below.

A reservation is binding for both parties once Hotel Marselis has sent a written confirmation. When booking online via the Hotel’s own website, the confirmation is automatically sent by e-mail, after which the reservation is binding for both parties.

Any preferences regarding the type, décor or location of the room are welcome, but cannot be guaranteed and confirmed until arrival.

2. Cancellation and modification

The cancellation and modification terms depend on the rate selected and whether the selected rate is refundable. The terms will be shown during the booking process, and your choice will be confirmed in the booking confirmation. Read about booking via a third-party provider, see below under section 4.

In case of cancellation, a written confirmation will be sent by e-mail. This confirmation constitutes proof that the reservation has been cancelled.

If the hotel has incurred any special charges directly related to the reservation, the hotel reserves the right to claim a refund of these charges in the event of modification or cancellation.

No-show: If you do not show up without prior cancellation, you will be charged for one night’s stay. Please note that the full prepayment for non-refundable stays will not be refunded in case of no-show.

3. Credit Card Guarantee, Prices and Payment

Depending on the selected rate, the reservation can be made either with a credit card guarantee or they stay can be prepaid. In case of credit card guarantee, the Hotel makes a temporary hold for an amount on the card. For prepaid stays, your card will be charged in full or in part at the time of booking.

All prices are shown in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT and mandatory fees, unless stated otherwise. Prices are set dynamically and may vary depending on time, demand and availability. The price is not final until the booking confirmation has been received.

The hotel reserves the right to adjust prices and conditions, but without effect for already confirmed reservations.
Payment may be made using any payment method accepted by the Hotel. Invoicing and payment under a company agreement require prior written agreement.

In the event of non-payment or delayed payment, interest and fees may be charged in accordance with the provisions of the Danish Interest Act (Renteloven), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

In some cases, the use of certain corporate cards or foreign-issued payment cards may result in an additional card fee.

4. Bookings through a third-party provider

Bookings made via external booking platforms or travel agencies are subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the relevant provider. Changes, cancellations and refunds must be handled directly with such third party.
Hotel Marselis is not a contracting party to these agreements and therefore cannot make changes to them.

5. Check In and Check Out

Check-in requires that the guest checking in is the same person in whose name the booking was made. Guests may be required to present a valid photo ID upon check-in.

As a general rule, the Hotel does not check in guests where the booking is not made in the correct name or where there is a discrepancy between the booking details and the person checking in. Failure to comply may result in refusal of check-in.

Rooms are available from 16:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated no later than 11:00 on the day of departure. If the check-out time is exceeded, an extra night may be charged.

Guests arriving after midnight must notify the Hotel in advance.

6. Pets and smoking

The hotel is 100 % smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted indoors or in any of the Hotel’s outdoor areas.
Pets are not allowed at the Hotel. Service animals (such as service or assistance dogs) may be accommodated in selected rooms by prior arrangement with the Hotel.

Guests must present valid documentation confirming the status of the service animal upon arrival. Failure to do so may result in refusal of check-in, and the reservation will be subject to the Hotel’s applicable cancellation or no-show policy

7. Links to other web sites

Our website may contain links to other websites or to integrated third-party features. Hotel Marselis is not responsible for the content of these websites or for their processing of personal data.

8. Lost property

Lost property is stored for a limited period. Items are normally kept for up to three (3) months, while valuables may be stored for up to twelve (12) months.

If an item is returned, shipping and handling costs will be charged to the guest. Requests regarding lost items must be submitted via the Hotel’s contact form, which you can find HERE.

The Hotel accepts no responsibility for lost or forgotten belongings.

9. Minors

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout their stay.

10. Force majeure

The Hotel cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond the Hotel’s control and may in such cases cancel reservations without liability.

11. Personal data

Processing of personal data takes place in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our
Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints and complaints

you experience any issues during your stay, please contact the Hotel reception as soon as possible so that we can try to resolve the matter. Your satisfaction is important to us, and the reception is always available to assist you.

If a satisfactory solution is not found, you may subsequently submit a complaint to the Complaints Board for Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The agreement is subject to Danish law. Disputes are settled by the District Court of Aarhus, unless otherwise provided for by mandatory consumer protection rules.
